I am sorry for your loss. Dr Vassington's was a fine teacher. He was my facility advisor and I had the privilege to work in his lab. I am certain their are many Former UCONN alumni that will remember his classes!

For Lynn:
Your dad was a kind sweet man. He had a subtle sense of humor. He was so proud when I told him that you had been a delightful person to teach. He was not surprised. My condolences on his passing.

My deepest sympathies to all of the Vasingtons on Franks' passing (he'll always be Mr. Vasington to me). I remember so many great times with you all including a memorable summer vacation in N.H. where Frank and Margaret and all of you made me feel like one of the family..my heartfelt condolences to Phil and all of you.

I am so sorry about your loss. Frank was a great person whom I had grown to love him. I have waited on the frank and the rest of the ROMEOS for the past 25 years or so. Every Friday at 12 o'clock the would walk in the restaurant and always had a smile and good jokes and stories to tell.. no matter how my day was going they always seemed to make it better. I will miss frank. But I know he is at peace and pain free now. R.I.P. I love you. From
Your long time waitress Pat!!

What a beautiful obituary - fits him perfectly. I worked with Dr. Vasington at UConn Biological Sciences in the early 70s. A kind, intelligent gentleman. He had a wonderful life.

Dear Shirley, my sympathy to you and your family. I can see my father, Joe, and Frank having great discussions now about golf and perhaps even playing a round or two. My thoughts are with you.

My sympathy to Frank's family. I worked several years with Frank when he chaired the Golf Tournament benefiting Windham Hospital. He was so kind and so much fun to work with. He will be missed.

Uncle Frank was an amazing man. Always kind, gentle and generous. He helped my mom one year with money for Christmas presents for us when we were little kids: calmly watched hoards of children at camp in Antrim, NH as we ran around with Lynn, Gail, Mark and Philip; and was so tolerant of mischievous child behaviors. His love of science was inspirational to me as a child in a family where science seemed to be a foreign language. As he grew older he would sometimes become more talkative and describe his own growing up and was a wonderful story teller. He was my favorite uncle and dearly loved. I will miss him.

Lynn and family -so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. He was a wonderful inspiration for me during my years at Storrs. Full of wisdom and practicality. He was one of the good guys. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Best,

Rick Liftig
