Eric Michael Hazeldine

Eric Michael Hazeldine, 41, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Olathe, Kansas on Thursday, April 27, 2017.  Eric was born November 3, 1975, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He spent his childhood in Windham Connecticut and graduated from Windham High School in 1993.  After high school, Eric enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served for six years at which time he was honorably discharged. Eric made many great friends in the Navy with whom he still kept in touch.  After leaving the Navy, he relocated from Connecticut to Kansas to be close to his beautiful daughter Hannah and later his loving son Jackson who were the most important people in his life.  Growing up, Eric enjoyed wrestling, gaming, and watching countless movies. Later in life, he was an avid bowler and member of a softball league. He especially enjoyed UCONN men’s basketball and New England Patriots football.  Not a season went by where he didn’t watch every game that he could. Most of all, Eric cherished every moment he spent with his children. He was a dedicated and loving father, son and brother. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of his family.  Eric is survived by his two children which he loved with all his heart, Hannah (15) and Jackson (2), his mother, Nicole Gruver and Fiancé James Gazza; Father, Richard Hazeldine; sister, Tracy Hansen and husband Eric; sister, Lynda Lambert and husband Craig; grandma, Therese Cournoyer and loving nieces, nephew and many other relatives. They will always remember and cherish the time they had with him.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Windham, with military honors.
