Elizabeth “Betty/Mimi” Laub, 92, of Mansfield, CT passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 while asleep.
Mrs. Laub was a graduate of the Simmons College School of Nursing, Class of 1948. Before her marriage she was a nursing instructor for Simmons and taught at the Newton Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing and Trocaire College. Later in her life she was a staff nurse in high risk obstetrics at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, NY and Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington, D.C. A lifelong Episcopalian, she was an active member at St. Paul’s Church in Windham Center, CT.
Surviving Mrs. Laub are her former husband, Irving Laub, of Buffalo, NY; her children: Craig Laub and his wife, Kerry, of Potomac, MD; Nancy Laub Bauer and her husband, Lance, of Hanover, CT; Eric Laub of Belmont, MA; and Leslie Laub White of Hampton, CT. Grandchildren are: Megan Johnson Philippi and her husband, Jay; Michael Johnson and his wife, Catherine; Erin and Rebecca White; and Lydia and Cora Laub. Her great-grandchildren are Caden and Carli Philippi, Landon, Liam, and Luke Johnson.
A funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Windham Center, CT on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 10:00am. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at South Cemetery in Hampton, CT at 1:00pm.
