Doris A. Haggerty

Doris (LaFlamme) Haggerty, 63, died on October 21, 2019 at her home in Willimantic, CT. Born August 22, 1956, she was the daughter of Phyllis (King) and Arthur LaFlamme, and the widow of Donald Haggerty. She grew up in South Windham, CT and graduated from Windham High School.

After high school, Doris became a proud member of the United States Marine Corp, and upon returning home worked at several jobs before settling at the University of Connecticut, retiring after 20 plus years. Doris loved her home, crocheting, gardening, and traveling adventures with Holly. She especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her mother Phyllis LaFlamme, daughter Melinda Wilson of Willimantic, son Christopher Wilson of Kentucky, and John (Sonya) Haggerty of New Jersey; grandchildren Annalieze, Jalieze, and Ben Wilson, Taylor, Daniel, and Kirsten Haggerty; great-grandchild Julian Wilson; sister Sandra (David) Dunnack, brothers James (Carol), Stephen, Timothy, and Scott (Marybeth) LaFlamme. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws, aunts and uncles, and friends.

Doris’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic from 5:00-7:00pm. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 9:30am at the funeral home, burial to follow the service at Windham Center Cemetery.
