David John Evans, 59, of Lebanon, CT passed away on December 20, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of Harry and Barbara (Gondek) Evans. David was born in Hartford on June 17, 1959. He was raised in South Glastonbury and attended Glastonbury Public Schools. After high school he traveled throughout the United States, and settled in Maui, Hawaii where he was a master diving instructor and scuba guide for Sun Divers. He moved to Lebanon in 2002.

David was a self-taught architect, artist and exceptionally skilled craftsman with a quick wit and entertaining sense of humor. His attention to detail and perfectionism were unparalleled and apparent in all of his work. He was an avid skier and snowboarder. He enjoyed all types of music, antiquing, the mountains, the ocean and beach, gardening, fishing, reading, socializing with his friends and co-workers, and spending time with his family. He was a life-long Dallas Cowboys fan. He especially cherished his summers and holidays in Clinton, CT and family vacations on Cape Cod.

He leaves his wife, Kimberly Neumann; his children, Taylor White (Thomas), Tanner Evans and Avery Evans; his grandson, Baron White; his sister, Dana (David); his brother, Chris (Lori); several nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Dana-Farber, Windham Hospital and St. Joseph’s Living Center for the excellent medical treatment and compassionate care given to David, and his many friends who were a constant source of support and companionship to David and his family throughout his illness.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 1- 4 at the Lebanon Community Center, 872 Trumbull Hwy, Lebanon, CT. A celebration of David’s life will be held in June.
