Carol May Amon, 78, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday March 8, 2017 at her home.  She was born in Willimantic, the daughter of the late Frederick and Florence (Wheeler) Lada.  Carol graduated from Windham High School and the Morse School of Business.  Carol was a girl scout and a girl scout leader.  She worked for years at Dr. Sidney Vernon office, Electro Motive and Dr. J Stevens office.  Carol also worked at the University of Connecticut for over 25 years in the Bursar’s office.  The one joy Carol had was spending time with her grandchildren.  Her final wish was to be able to be home in the end.  This was possible because Holly was able to stay with her in the end.  Carol is survived by two daughters, Robin Russell and her husband David and Holly Amon-Cox and her husband David; a sister Gail Rebello; four grandchildren, Joshua Cox, Ashley Russell, Jordan Russell and Briana Russell; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a sister Joyce Beaudoin.  There are no calling hours.  It was Carol’s wish to have a graveside service, which will  be held at 10:00am on Monday March 13, 2017 at the New Willimantic Cemetery, (Rte. 32 Willimantic).  For an online memorial guestbook please visit
