Beverly Corso, 84, of Colchester, formerly of Manchester, passed away November 15, 2019. Beverly is joining her late husband, James N. Corso Sr., of 55 years. Bev was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and grew up in Andover. After graduating high school, she worked at Colt Firearms, where she met Jim. They married and had three boys. Bev enjoyed traveling the world, especially taking cruises with friends and family. When not traveling, there was barely a Friday night when their house was not full of family and friends playing cards, swimming in the pool, and enjoying Bev’s fine cooking. Bev especially loved the holidays and created joyful memories for all to remember. She loved to dance. As Bev said “ Be happy, be gay, dance your worries away” Beverly always put others before herself. In later years Bev looked forward to her luncheon dates with her sister, Joan, and their childhood friends. Bevy and Joan were inseparable. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons and their families, James Jr. and Joyce Corso of Columbia, Robert Corso and Kathy McConville, and Thomas and Deborah Corso of Lebanon; her grandchildren Miranda, Justin, Rebecca, Nicholas, Joel, and her great grandson Nolan. Beverly is also survived by her sister, Joan Ethridge, and her husband David of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday November 20, 2019 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, (Route 195), Willimantic, CT. Burial will be private in West Street Cemetery, Columbia.
