What a wonderful neighbor Athella was to our young family in the campground; one of the first people to welcome us. Such a big-hearted, creative, energetic, kind lady. I'm so grateful to have known her.

I am sad that I did not get to see her again before she passed. I imagined several conversations, but imagining is all I could do. My husband's deteriorating health required me to stay close to home. I remember singing with her, praying with her, and laughing with her. She was a lovely person.--

Our sympathy and condolences to the family. Cousin Athella was the daughter of our Grandmother Beulah Bowers' sister She and Grandma Bowers shared a special bond. We did not get to see her often but always enjoyed her company. She was a vivacious person whose joy and humor were unquenchable.

Nancy & Ruth, So sorry 4 your loss. I have such fond memories , sitting on the porch at the Campground with my folks, in came you Mom with such joy. Oh her laughter still rings out on that porch. I have a painting she did 4 my mother and I think of your Mom daily as I pass it.
