We members of the Cape Cod Framingham College Club wish to offer our sincere condolences. We enjoyed having Arlene attend our luncheons in the past and miss her dearly. I did mail a card to her last known address. I hope you receive it.

Arlene will be greatly missed. One of my fondest memories: I had sampled a recipe of hers at a Historical Society meeting, and later met her in the Library. I asked if she minded giving it to me, as I had found it perfect and something I had been trying to do for a long time. She laughed and told me that the dish I sampled she had actually made incorrectly! But the next time she saw me, she had both the 'correct' recipe and her unintended alteration. Just this weekend, I consulted that recipe. I think of her and Al often. I'm so sorry for your loss.

A full life! I will miss Aunt Arlene, but I will never be able to separate my memories of both Al and Arlene.

It was always interesting to see Aunt Arlene and Uncle Al. You never knew what you would learn. From their 4-H knowledge of Tolland County farms and crafts, the amazing things they saw on the RV trips, or their local experiences in Columbia.

I will always fondly reflect on their generosity, whether sharing their home for a Fourth of July parade and party or traveling many miles for a niece or nephew's milestones.

However, Arlene's life experiences were sometimes rather guarded. It took me until Aunt Peggy's (Reed) funeral a few years ago, when I gave Arlene a ride from the service to the reception, for me to learn that she was once a skier. As we were driving past the old Mt Tom ski area she confessed that while in college a German transfer student encouraged her and friends to go skiing. She said she loved it and went many times. Who knew?

I will miss Arlene, and Lori and I will miss seeing family and friends for her service.
Love, David and Lori Barry

I will remember Aunt Arlene as a woman of grace, intelligence, and kindness. We always enjoyed visiting Aunt Arlene and Uncle Al and hearing about their latest excursions. They were a well-matched couple that enjoyed many of the same things. They were loving and kind and always interested in what our family was doing. Over the years, we enjoyed their many letters and stories. Aunt Arlene and Uncle Al will always have a special place in our hearts.
