Richard “Dick” Francis Burnham, 86, of Ocala, FL passed away on June 19, 2021. He was born in Stamford, CT to Robert and Marion (Fulton) Burnham. Dick was an avid UConn Women’s basketball and Boston Red Sox fan. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. Dick graduated college with a degree in electrical engineering and worked as a manager for Eversource in the New Britain, Norwalk, Stamford, and Tolland offices He and his wife, Carol, visited every state in the U.S. in their RV and also visited Hawaii. They also enjoyed going to their summer home in Holland, MA. Dick loved his children and grandchildren immensely. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carol (Beebe); their four sons, Dale and his wife Pam, Kenneth and his wife Nancy, Steven, and Glen and his wife Wendy; brother, Robert; nine grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Richard’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, July 2, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00pm with his funeral service starting at 2:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT 06226. His burial will follow at Storrs Cemetery in Mansfield, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Hamilton Reservoir Association, FHRA 27 Sturbridge Rd.
