Nancy C, Marshall

Nancy C. Marshall, wife of Harry Marshall, of 57 Lakeside Drive, Ashford, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Thursday August 4, 2011 at the age of 57. She was the daughter of the late Lieutenant Andrew Chapo of Westport and Hobe Sound, FL and Jeannette C. Smith of Gettysburg, PA. Nancy was a graduate of Staples High School, went on to study at Paier College of Art in Hamden, and Catherine Gibbs School. She had a career in Graphic Arts, and later devoted herself to Fine Arts; achieving recognition in Lyme Art Association, the CT Pastel Society, and was an elected member of CT Plein Air Society. She is survived by her husband, Harry, mother and stepfather Jeannette and Walter Smith, her brother Andrew Chapo of Kensington, sister Jennifer Cather of Cross Junction, VA, aunt Linda Perman of Fort Collins, CO, and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNHC Hospice, 8 Keynote Drive, Vernon, CT 06066. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday August 10, 2011 from 10:00am to 11:00am with her memorial service beginning at 11:00am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St (Rte. 195), Willimantic, CT 06226.
