Larry Joseph Saumure

Larry Joseph Saumure, 59, of Storrs, died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford with his family at his side. He was born March 21, 1949 in California, the son of Joseph and Theresa Saumure, grew up in Massena, NY and was a long time resident of Storrs. He was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford for the past 37 years. Larry was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and cook and ride on his motorcycle. He knew how to have a good time and gave everyone lots of stories to remember him by. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by two daughters, Heather Saumure of Storrs and Melissa Saumure of Colchester, two grandchildren, Elise-Marie King and Peyton James Gardner, and a brother, Steven Saumure of Syracuse, NY. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
