Donna Ann Dominic, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away at Willimantic, Connecticut on July 22, 2014 at the age of 65. Donna was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, on October 8, 1948. She went on to earn her GED the same year as her children graduated High School in 1988, and went on to become a Certified Nurses Aid. She worked many jobs as a Cleaning Staff, and Nurse's Aide, with her last place of employment being the Mashantucket Indian Museum on their Custodial Services Staff, a place dear to her heart, being Native herself. Donna enjoyed spending Holidays, most notably Easter, Halloween and Christmas with her grandkids where she would shower them with spirit and gifts, never leaving anyone out, often making baskets for last minute visitors as well, Bingo, Bingo, and more Bingo, Trips to New Hampshire and Maine with her husband Bob, her weekend (often extended) trips with her sisters to the Lake Winnipesaukee area, where Bingo, Cards and shenanigans often took place. Donna is predeceased by her mother Noreen, father Donald Sr., step-mother Linda, and Brother Matthew. Donna is survived by her loving husband Robert S Dominic Sr. of 47 years. They were married at St. Joseph Church, Willimantic on May 13, 1967. Donna is lovingly remembered by her daughter Christine Marie Dominic-Ricks, Norwich, CT, her son Robert S. Dominic Jr. of Willimantic, her brothers Donald (Bimbo, Dougie) and Elenore Solomon Jr., Dale (Choc) and Rena Solomon, and Brian Michael (Lip) and Lenora Solomon, all from Kingclear Indian Village, her sisters, Judy (Noni) Solomon, Daphne (Doosie) Solomon, Maryellen and Brian Sabattis , Melissa(Molasses) Solomon also of Kingsclear Indian Village, Donald III, and June Solomon of Lebanon, CT and Nichea and Jessie Spillane of Cranston, her brother-in-law Stanley Dominic and his companion of many years Millie Pinkston. She is also remembered by her grandchildren which she adored and loved greatly, John Espinoza, Airec and Jayson Ricks, Kaylee and Jak Dominic, and numerous nieces and nephews. Donna was also blessed with her first Great Grand Daughter Layla Mae Espinoza on her 64 Birthday. The visitation will be held at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St, Willimantic, CT 06226, on Monday July 28, 2014 from 6-8 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St, Joseph Church, Willimantic, CT on Tuesday July 29, 2014 at 11:00 am., interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Road, Windham.
