William Joseph Waitkevicz, III

William Joseph Waitkevicz III, 66, of Bloomfield, CT died peacefully on October 13, 2016 at Wintonbury Care Center in Bloomfield. William was born on April 17, 1950 at New Britain General Hospital in New Britain, CT to parents William II and Helen Waitkevicz. He moved to Willimantic, CT as an infant and lived there almost all of his life, until finally moving to Bloomfield to reside at Wintonbury Care Center.

William graduated from St. Joseph’s grammar school in Willimantic and Windham Technical School in Windham. He was a very likeable person with a pleasant personality, and had a lifelong love of playing the guitar. William worked different jobs during his life, with his last job being an inspector for Brand Rex.

Along with his parents William was predeceased by his grandparents Joseph and Anne Waitkevicz, and his nephew Richard Jr.

William leaves to mourn him; his sister Barbara Carrigan from Florida and husband Patrick; his niece Susan and nephew Jeffrey. He also leaves; a brother Richard Waitkevicz from Florida and wife Sandra; his nieces Carole and Shara, and one nephew, Drake. He also leaves a dear Aunt Rose Longtin, who is also his Godmother, as well as a lot of cousins that will miss him.

William suffered from Mental Illness most of his life, and later in life he developed some serious illnesses that led to his death. I, his sister Barbara, know my brother is in a better place, Heaven, with no more pain and suffering. Good-bye my baby brother, I love you.

A Graveside Service will be held, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd., Windham, CT.
