Truman B. Pearl

Truman (Sonny) B. Pearl, 83, of Chaplin, CT passed away April 9, 2017 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born August 19, 1933 in Windham, CT and was a graduate of Windham High School. He was a jack of all trades. He grew up working the family farm and went on to work in construction, was a logger, a sawmill operator, and could fix just about anything. He also loved spending time with his family and they loved being with him. He was known for his sense of humor and was happiest when picking on any member of his family. Truman is predeceased by his wife Ruth (Burnore) Pearl, his daughter-in-law Lyn Pearl, and his son-in-law Michael Spencer. He will be missed by his four children, Truman J. Pearl and wife Robin of Chaplin, CT, Diane Langley and husband Alan of Plano, TX, Judy Spencer of Mansfield, CT, Thomas Pearl and his wife Hope of Mansfield, CT, and his 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Clarence Pearl and wife Cleora, and his sisters Sylvia Pearl of Port Charlotte, FL and Edith Pearl of Mansfield, CT.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, CT 06226. The Funeral Service will be Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Windham Center Cemetery, Route 32, Windham, CT.
