TC and I were buddies/bunkmates at Camp Sharilawn-Sherwood in Ware MA in the 1940’s (AD!).
Even then she had a great sense of humor and was known for her love for and skill in sports. While I couldn’t beat her in tennis, I did beat her at jacks.
My best to her family and friends. As I have learned from this obituary, you have lost an intelligent, capable and caring woman.

My sincere condolences to the Karmel family on the loss of your dear loved one. Death can bring so much tears and pain but may your memories bring you comfort in the days and weeks ahead and have faith in God's promise found at Isaiah 25:8. My deepest sympathy to you all during this difficult time.

Decades ago T.C. was among the early wave of women sports writers and The Hartford Courant was her launching pad. She asked many questions including 'How do you cover basketball games?' Somehow she ended up with me (there were better choices). I showed her my system which she picked up quickly. Little did I know how accomplished she would become in so many areas. I'm pleased that I didn't slow her rising star.

We both can’t convey how devastated we are of the passing of our friend T.C. we spent so many great times in Saratoga springs and Belmont. I always admired her love of horse racing and brilliant sense of humor. She was such a compassionate animal lover who adored her ‘Rosie’. Will miss seeing you in section H. God bless us TC.
