I remember Roseanne when she worked at the Booth Dimock Library back in the 1960s when I was a youngster. I used to ride my Welch pony to the village about a 3 mile trip. The first time I rode him she laughing told the librarians there was a pony tied up under the shady trees. She then learned it was min and said to say hello to my brother Tom. They were two years apart at Coventry High School. I had a saddle bag that I could mange coffee table books, normal size and records-- hey hey, remember e vinyls? They are making a comeback. I asked if I could use the outside faucet and hose to give the pony a drink and they were most gracious. It was the my next errand to Burnhams store for my weekly stash of caramel nut squirrels 2/1 cent, penny fireballs assorted nickel candy bars and s couple nickel bags of Stateline potatoe chips and an ice cold coke for a dime then it was up to my great uncle's house where I took the right of way on the pipeline to our place on South Street. Deepest sincere sympathy to her family.
