Pamela (Pam) Viens, 59, of Columbia Connecticut passed on peacefully, Tuesday night March 21, 2017 at Backus Hospital. Pam was born on December 29, 1957 in Lewiston Maine. She was a graduate of Coventry High School, and she earned an Associate’s degree in Horticultural Science from the University of Connecticut. Pam was in the retail industry for twelve plus years as Store Manager for Sherwin Williams in Willimantic, where her keen eye for color and joy for helping others was abundantly seen. She was a member of the Columbia community and surrounding towns for ten plus years, actively and generously sharing her kind heart and green thumb.
Pam is survived by her loving husband Jeffery Viens of Columbia, her daughter Amy Stewart of Columbia, her son Michael Viens of Norwich, and her parents Robert and Jeanette Letourneau of Coventry. She also leaves, her brother Michael, sister Lisa and many other loving niece’s nephews and cousins, as well as the most recent addition and the light of her life, her grandson Lucas Viens. She will be missed by all that knew her and crossed her path, for she constantly gave selflessly of herself by helping others.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, CT. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, March 27, 2017 at 11:00 am at St Mary Cemetery off Burnside Ave in East Hartford.
