Doris Parent, 88, of Willimantic passed away Tuesday October 10, 2017 of natural causes. She was born June 22, 1929 to the late Arthur and Robea (Rondeau) Poudrier. Doris was a Teacher’s Aide for children with special needs. Many will remember her love of teaching and how she touched their lives. She opened her heart and home for seventeen infants in need of adoption. Doris is survived by five children, Jacquie, Susan, Mike, Norman, and Chris; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a brother Leo. She will be reunited with her beloved husband, Norman; son, Billy and grandson, David. Doris’ family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 9:00am to 10:30am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195), Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St., Willimantic. Burial will follow at a later date.
