Holly Flubacher Becker, 55 of Ashford, passed away on July 4, 2017 at Hartford Hospital, after a long illness. She had worked for the University of Connecticut, in Storrs for 37 years. Holly retired June 28, 2017. She was an avid fan of UCONN Women’s Basketball. Holly loved the ocean and walking on the beach, she also had a passion for flowers and floral arrangements. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Holly leaves behind her daughter, Amanda Parkins and her husband Chris; granddaughter, Autumn of Manchester; mother, Betty A. Flubacher of Mansfield; brother, Scott Flubacher and his wife Patricia of Windham; sister, Dawn Meyers and husband Greg of Hampton. She also leaves her boyfriend Bob Meraviglia of Lebanon, two aunts and several nieces, cousins and nephews as well as her two beloved cats, Ky and Precious. She was predeceased in death, by her father Charles E. Flubacher and grandmother Elinor K. Foote.
The family will receive relatives and friends, Monday July 10, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Funeral service to start at 11:00 am at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte.195) Willimantic with an interment to follow at the New Willimantic Cemetery at the family plot.
