Grant Meitzler

Grant Meitzler, 74, of Mansfield, passed away on January 22, 2018.  Born in Vernon, CT, he was the son of the late Donald E. and Lillian (St. Clair) Meitzler.  Grant was the Assistant Town Engineer for the town of Mansfield from 1973 until his retirement in 2014.

Grant earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Connecticut in 1965.  He went on to earn his Master of Science in Civil Engineering in 1967, and his PhD. in 1974.  After his retirement, he served on the Conservation Commission for the town of Mansfield. 

Grant leaves two brothers, Dale Meitzler of Cherry Hill, NJ, and Berk Meitzler (Sally) of Brimfield, MA. Grant also leaves a niece and two nephews, Elizabeth, Elliot and Harrison

The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 4-6 PM at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic, CT.  A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.  The family wishes that flowers be omitted.  Instead, memorial donations to Joshua's Trust, P.O.
