Gerald A. Yeske, 81, of Enfield, CT beloved husband of Carolee (Noyes) Yeske passed into eternal glory on April 25, 2017 at his home after a short illness. He was born in Hartford, CT on February 26, 1936 to the late Robert and Katherine Marie Yeske but lived most of his life in Enfield, CT. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as an inspector for 32 years until his retirement in 1998. “Jerry” as he was known by his friends and family was an avid reader and WWll buff. He also enjoyed watching UCONN Huskies basketball with his longtime friend Jim Hosey also of Enfield, CT. He served his country as a SGT in the U.S. Marine Corps as a small arms instructor and various other duties. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolee of 56 years; sons, Robert Yeske of Windsor Locks, CT, Mark D. Yeske and his wife Lynda of Somers, CT; daughters, Cheralee Jordan and her husband Mark of Springfield, MA and Shannon Cruz of Enfield, CT; Sister, Carol Rogalski of Gales Ferry, CT; nieces, Robin and Karen. He also leaves 10 grandchildren, Jason Yeske, Arthur Yeske, Michael Taylor, Matthew Yeske, Morgan Yeske, Marleigh Yeske, Jeremy Jordan, Anthony Peacock, Danny Fortin, Armani Cruz and 7 great grandchildren. His funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday, April 28, 2017 at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte.195) Willimantic, CT. Burial with military honors will follow at the New Coventry Cemetery, Coventry, CT.
