Gail S. (Noren) Perry

June 21, 1941 ~ February 22, 2017 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Gail S Perry of Scotland passed away on February 22 at Windham Hospital after a brief illness. Gail was born on June 21, 1941 in Niagara Falls New York to Hilmer Noren and Delpha Peterson Noren. She grew up in Manchester Ct and spent summers on Coventry Lake. Gail was valedictorian for the class of 1959 at Manchester High School. She attended Pembroke/Brown University. She graduated from the University of Connecticut with a BS and MS in Mathematics.

Gail is survived by her husband of 56 years Alan D. Perry and three children. daughter Selina Moriarty(Thomas) of Oakdale CT and two sons, Jason D Perry of Scotland CT, Neil A Perry(Annie) of Norwich NY and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Craig Noren of Florida, Janice Kay Hall of Vermont, Courtney Roth of Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gail retired from the State of Connecticut Insurance Commission auto division. Gail lived in Scotland CT for most her married life. She was a member of the Scotland Garden club. Gail was also a member of the Scotland Congregational Church where she served as pianist/organist and treasurer. She served on the Scotland Library Board in many capacities over her long tenure.

Gail and her husband Alan enjoyed taking many road trips in search of lighthouses and covered bridges. She was an avid reader, loved her Sudoku puzzles and enjoyed working in her flower beds.

The Family would like to thank the staff of Home Instead Senior Care in Tolland CT for caring after Gail in the past three months.

A memorial service will be held on March 11, 2017 at 11 am at Potter Funeral Home at 456 Jackson St (Rte.195) Willimantic, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Scotland Congregational Church (P O Box 148 Scotland CT or Scotland Public Library (PO Box   Scotland CT).
