Don was always looking out for me back when i was in high school. he always made sure the bullies would leave me alone, and always had a smile and a good joke to cheer me up when life and school work had me down. he was a great guy and i don't know where i'd be if it were not for him. my sincerest of condolences to his family, he was truly a wonderful guy with a heart purer than gold.

I was so sorry to learn of Don's passing - he was a very good and pleasant person .... we will all miss him. I remember when I met him at E O Smith and how much he helped me find / continue rehearsal space for my first band, The Little Big Band. Don was so gracious as to do the sound for our first big event, the Windham (300 or 350th anniversary of this little city ) ball on NYE '93. Bless and keep you, Don. You will be missed.

I have wonderful memories of talking with Don during my time working at E.O. Smith. He always had a smile on his face and a story to share! :) Even after I had been gone from E.O. Smith for years, when I returned to visit, he remembered me instantly! He was always a friendly face and always offered a helping hand. :) He will be greatly missed. My prayers are with his family at this very difficult time.

Don and I enjoyed many hallway conversations at E.O.Smith over the years. He was always quick with a smile, friendly, and helpful. He was one of the first people I met at E.O Smith and one of the last I saw when I retired. I will always have fond memories. He was a great guy. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

MY TRIBUTE TO MY FRIEND AND UNION BROTHER!! Local 1303-234
Donald Haggerty
Why so early, Sixty one and done!
My friend has been called home
Why that August morning did he choose you?
Leaving the rest of us feeling sad and blue.
30 years I called you friend and Union Brother
Clearly you were like no other.
Why so early?
I guess it was just your time to go.
Don's work is done, Don's mark on the world will be told by many
Don left behind friends, family, photo's,stories, music and beer
Your gifts for us to hold so near and dear.
The stories we will tell about your life
Some will make us laugh, some will make us cry
But as we look back we must also go forward
to write our own stories for others to tell.
I guess death is really part of life we know all to well.
BUT why so early?
Don save me a spot at your table so one day I may join you again.
My dear true friend and union brother
with a smile and a tear I say
Don see you on the "FLIP FLOP FLY" Rock on
Susan Newton
