To the Knapp Family: My deepest condolences on Dr Knapp's passing. I'm sorry for just noticing this now, but I was one of the Doctor's students at UConn ('61,'63), and I wanted to share my thoughts. He was among those who, by his special talents and educational skills, shaped our future. His legacy continues to lives on through us.

The Knapps have always been close family friends to us, thru my parents who were close friends!

I have very fond memories with our families getting together over the years.

MY sincerest condolences. Mr Knapp was a special person that I will always remember!

Harris what words can be used to describe the most wonderful brother-in-law in the world. You were easy to talk to and easy to be around, just Harris who would have known what was in your head. You were smart, handsome and oh your jokes were the best around. We will miss you as our children will. They looked forward to our summers at Knapp Camp. Thanks for all the great memories we will treasure them.
Love and RIP you deserve it.. You were one of a kind. Muriel and Phil

Uncle Harris,
Words are tough and the memories countless. Fishing, hiking, camping, and snow fun when we headed north in the winter. Rest in peace, Go Huskies, I love you.

In his calm ways, Charlie was an outstanding professor who was admired by those of us he taught as well as those who were fortunate to have shared time as one of his colleagues in the UConn School of Engineering. With an ability to teach (all of) the most important "systems" offerings within Electrical Engineering, his classes formed the core of education for many. His ability to nurture talent, helping those new to the program, and provide wise guidance to both students and faculty was much appreciated. He was an example of excellence for many to follow -- whether it be jogging at the lunch hour, engaging students on a project, teaching complex material, or handling departmental administrative chores. I am grateful for his help, his guidance, and his teachings. Best wishes to the family.
