Carl Kusmer, member of St. Joseph Parish and lifetime resident of the Willimantic area passed away Sunday evening at New Britain Hospital following a brief illness. He was a Vietnam Veteran. His working career was primarily with the Central Vermont R.R. where he was a conductor in freight service for eighteen years. Carl is survived by his mother, Gladys Kusmer; his loving wife of 31 years Cheryl-leigh and his siblings, Paul Kusmer and Anne Denson who will miss him dearly. He is predeceased by his father, Andrew Kusmer D.D.S and his youngest sister Mary.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am Monday, October 23, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 99 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT 06226.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38185.
