Barbara J. Pepin, 83, of Columbia, beloved wife of the late Joseph Pepin, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2017 with her children by her side. Born in Willimantic, she was the daughter of John Dosh and Isabelle (Frechette) Dosh. Barbara was a beautiful, gracious, and gentle woman who loved spending time with her family and always had a smile and a positive word for everyone she met. She was an avid fan of UConn women’s basketball, old time Westerns, playing word search games, and talking with her friends. Barbara was excited to have become a great grandmother. She leaves many beautiful memories for her son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Karen Pepin of Meriden, her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Bob Hopson of Hebron and her son Jeffrey Pepin of Columbia; she also leaves four grandchildren Tyler and Chelsea Hopson, Kristin and Carli Pepin, and a great granddaughter Avery Hopson. Barbara’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday March 3, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street (Rte. 195), Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday March 4, 2017 at 10:00am at the Church of the Holy Family, Route 85 Hebron, meeting at church. Burial will be held at a later day.
